Travel Distribution Systems Pty Ltd (TDS) established in 2002 is an Australian company based in Melbourne and has developed ARENA as a new generation global distribution system for the Travel and Tourism Industry.

The flavour of choice for this software development was a Java EE6 application running Glassfish, a generous amount of Sun SPARC T5120's and a touch of ExtJS for the front end. We spent time researching and stress testing existing JavaScript UI frameworks for the front-end, with ExtJS being the clear winner.

We developed the application using a RESTful architecture, allowing rich clients and web services to be easily deployed. A mobile friendly front-end was also built using our engineered PHP framework adapted for the RESTful backend.
